Strengthening Communities With Soulever and Schneider Mills, Inc.

Soulever, a sourcing and textile machinery partner based in Wuxi, China, and Schneider Mills, Inc. in Taylorsville, North Carolina are choosing to treat their long-standing relationship as a platform for shared responsibility, not just shared production. Together, they are aligning around quality, workforce stability, and community well‑being, demonstrating a clear commitment to the people connected to their fabrics at every stage of the supply chain.

By recognizing Soulever, ARN and Schneider Mills are highlighting a partner that delivers consistent technical performance while also valuing the outcomes experienced by workers and families tied to the textile ecosystem. The message to Soulever is that its continued engagement and support will be welcomed, honored, and visible—as both companies quietly but powerfully raise the standard of corporate responsibility for others in the global textile industry.

The First 72 Initiative stabilizes returning citizens in the most dangerous hours after release by providing immediate peer support, essential resources, and warm hand-offs to the services that keep them alive, compliant, and moving forward.

  • Why This Matters for Alexander County

The First 72 solves the exact gaps highlighted by probation, courts, PORT, and local law enforcement:

  •  Overdose deaths occurring during post-release
  • Missed appointments due to confusion or lack of transportation
  • High caseloads and limited system navigation capacity
  • Families unable to support stabilization alone
  • Return to jail from simple preventable barriers
  •  ARN provides the bridge—not duplicating existing services, but making it possible for individuals to successfully reach them.
